No-Cost Home Energy Upgrades for a More Comfortable, Efficient Home

The Energy Savings Program (ESP), part of ARF’s Energy Affordability Initiative, provides no-cost home energy upgrades for eligible families in participating communities. Improvements are tailored to each home to reduce wasted energy, improve comfort, and help make monthly energy costs more manageable.

Typical upgrades can reduce household electricity use by about 20% – potentially saving families $500+ annually depending on their home and energy use.

We are starting in a limited number of communities and will expand over time. If ESP is not yet in your area, you can still sign up to get updates.

Other Support

Alabama Resiliency Fund does not administer these programs directly. The resources below are external assistance programs that may be able to help based on eligibility.

Project Share – An energy assistance program administered by the Salvation Army that helps eligible households with utility assistance. Support is available in many Alabama communities, with services coordinated through local agencies.

Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) – A federally funded program administered in Alabama by ADECA that helps eligible households with heating and cooling energy costs.
