About the Alabama Resiliency Fund

Strengthening Alabama Communities
The Alabama Resiliency Fund (ARF) is a statewide 501(c)(3) nonprofit created to strengthen low‑ and moderate‑income households in communities across our state. We do this by investing in weatherization, digital infrastructure, and local innovation so that every Alabamian has a fair chance to learn, work, and live in a safe and healthy home.

Our Mission

ARF’s mission is to empower communities, bridge gaps, and build a brighter future for all Alabamians.

We focus on:

  • Helping families save through weatherization and energy efficiency
  • Improving the quality and safety of homes and community spaces
  • Supporting digital learning and access to modern tools
  • Creating new paths to good jobs, especially in rural areas

How ARF Works

ARF acts as an “enabler” for community projects:

  • We coordinate funding from state, federal, utility, and philanthropic sources, so that each dollar goes farther.
  • We work through trusted local partners and experienced implementers who already know the community.

Our Focus Areas

Energy Savings Program (Weatherization Upgrades)

Free home weatherization upgrades for eligible families, starting in selected communities.

AgTech Innovation & Rural Jobs

Investments that link digital skills to agriculture – such as precision farming, drones, and data tools – and connect learners to local jobs and entrepreneurial opportunities.

Rural Broadband & Digital Access (ADEN Infrastructure)

Support for broadband, fixed‑wireless service, and devices at ADEN learning hubs and in the homes and businesses of learners and educators.

These areas work together to create resilient neighborhoods where homes are efficient, students can get online, and local employers can grow.

Governance & Accountability

The Alabama Resiliency Fund:

  • Is established as an independent Section 501(c)(3) charitable organization
  • Is led by an independent Board of Directors
  • Operates under clear agreements with public and private partners to receive and deploy funds in line with legislative intent and community needs

We are committed to strong oversight, transparent reporting, and community input.
